When Peter Moore was tapped to design a signature shoe for rookie Michael Jordan, he borrowed components from several Nike designs such as the Nike Air Ship, the iconic Air Force 1, Nike Dunk, and the Nike Vandal. With iconic silhouettes such as those at its core, plus the addition of an Air Sole unit on the heel, future ballers will soar over their opponents … just like Mike.
Color their World
The Air Jordan 1 was the first shoe with multiple colors to be worn on the professional hardwood. Red/white, red/white/black, and white/dark powder blue were among those first legendary colorways. Today, the Retro 1 comes in dozens of color combinations that both boys and girls will love. They look good with traditional basketball apparel or jeans and a tee shirt.
From Littles to Big Kids
